Mountain Shadows Residents Win the Golden Ticket at Willy Wonka Party

Residents enjoyed tremendous things and many wonderful surprises at the recent Willy Wonka party on the Mountain Shadows Community Homes – San Diego campus.
“The Willy Wonka party was the first event, since the pandemic began, where ALL of the residents were able to come out and party together,” says Brittin Parker, Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional, Mountain Shadows – San Diego.
“The residents were able to come out and just have fun together,” adds Brittin. “We had a ‘Deflate Violet’ dart-throwing game, and residents also enjoyed a bowling ball game, like in the Willy Wonka movie, where they tried to knock down as many Willy Wonka candy bars as possible.
“The biggest highlight of the day was watching the residents laugh and smile. They were so happy to see each other!”
