Because I Care. This is Mountain Shadows’ motto, and it influences the way we care for our residents and program participants.
It is because we care that we are establishing Mountain Shadows Legacy Society, a special group of individuals who are committed to ensuring Mountain Shadows will continue to provide uncompromised care to individuals with intellectual disabilities for generations to come.
You can join Mountain Shadows Legacy Society and your legacy gift will build Mountain Shadows Foundation’s endowment. This will fund special activities, new programs and projects, and ensure that no matter what challenges Mountain Shadows faces, there is a safety net to ensure we can continue strong.
There are a number of ways you can leave a legacy including:
Name Mountain Shadows in your Will or Living Trust
Designate Mountain Shadows as a beneficiary of an IRA or other retirement plan, life insurance policy, or annuity
Designate Mountain Shadows as a beneficiary of a Special Needs Trust remainder.
If you are over 70 ½ you can make a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA account.
Donate appreciated securities and mutual funds.
