Riverside resident, Ayanna, above, journeyed through Monster's Inc., "Escape from Monstropolis!", taking part in the ride's daring race to return a lost human child to her home.
Ayanna is considered blind and can see only bright lights. "The Monster's Inc. ride had a lot of bright lights," says La Shan Young, Mountain Shadows - Riverside, Direct Care Staff member. "Ayanna just loved it!" |

La Shan has worked at Mountain Shadows for five years. "It's my passion, working with the kids. I love to help them, because they don't have anyone else. Nobody else is there for them. "Working with them has taught me about compassion. I watch them all grow. They are in my heart, just like they were my own babies." |

Riverside resident, Ray, after a day filled with adventures! |
"Ray loved Cars Land!" says Krystle. "He loves movement, and during the car ride, the momentum pushes you into each other. Every time Ray's car got pushed, he thought it was so funny! He couldn't stop laughing.
"This was the first outing for all of the residents since the pandemic. They hadn't been anywhere except to their doctor appointments. It was pretty special." |
"My cup holder’s happy, my tank is full.
My engine’s running like a Brahma bull. My bumpers are polished and talk about luck.
I just got a date with an ice cream truck." ~Mater |
